VIETNAM PEPPER SECTOR IN 2008 AND OUTLOOK FOR 2009

Following analytic reports on commodities, the Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (AGROINFO), Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) has issued the “Vietnam’s pepper sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009”. In Vietnam, this has been the first report offering updated and comprehensive analyses of factors affecting pepper market in 2008 and outlook for 2009.
The report is composed of 4 main contents: i) Vietnam’s pepper production in 2008; ii) Vietnam’s pepper exports in 2008; iii) Vietnam’s pepper exporters in 2008; iv) World pepper market; v) Outlook for pepper sector in 2009.
“Vietnam’s pepper sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009” serves as a useful reference for policy markers, researchers, donors, individuals and organizations locally and internationally, especially for the business communities running in Vietnam’s pepper production and trade. All of the information and data presented in the report are based on and extracted from publicized information sources of domestic and foreign reputed organizations and research agents including the Ministry of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Investment and Planning, General Statistics Office, General Department of Vietnam Customs, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), market research agents under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA): Economic Research Service (ERS), Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), etc.
