Quang Nam’s economic make up is analysed to
determine its GDP levels and contributions to national GDP as well as the current
investment structure and economic ownership structure of the province. GDP in Quang
Nam was found to be below regional averages for the South Central Region as a whole.
GDP growth however is higher than national averages but remains lower than regional
averages. GDP levels per person are also amongst the lowest in the region and almost
half of those for Vietnam as a whole.
