Among the largest developments were a US$160 million hi-end tourism complex by Tan Vien Petroleum JSC (an affiliate of PetroVietnam), a US$110 million housing scheme financed by Booyoung Vina Ltd Co of the Republic of Korea and a US$92 million plant to produce parts for the solar energy industry, financed by US Sillicon Thai Duong Hang Chinh Viet Nam Ltd Co.
As of December 12, Ha Tay has granted licences to 27 foreign-invested projects with capital totaling US$727 million.
The total number of foreign-invested projects in the province now stands at 99, which have a combined value of US$2.15 billion, said provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Nguyen Huy Tuong.
The Republic of Korea, which is funding eight projects in the province worth US$438 million, is Ha Tay’s largest investor.
