An online conversation with subject “Impact of WTO on poor farmers” was organized at VnMedia E-newspapers office, on May 30, 2006. The aim of the conversation was to mobilize discussion online and suggestion of experts on the issue of Vietnam joining in WTO and the impact of WTO on poor farmers. From that point to identify  problems and challenges, attracting the attention of government and society on food security for poor farmers and formulate suitable policies during the integration process.

Mr. Pham Quang Dieu (centre), Acting Director of Information Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agroinfo) – Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development with other experts like Dr. Vo Tri Thanh (CIEM), Ms. Le Kim Dzung (Oxfarm), Mr. Phan Van Ngoc (Director of Vietnam Action Aid) have been invited to the conversation.
