Managers of leading companies in the field of information and communication has been together attended the dialogue online – “Information and Communication contributed to ensuring food security and poverty reduction in Vietnam” on June 30, 2006. The aim of this dialogue is to search for the way to help farmers get used with e-commerce , especially the farmers in remote areas; discuss about conditions which farmers needed to access internet to develop agricultural and their life, and provide them with useful website sources on agriculture, forestry and aquaculture to farmers.

Pham Quang Dieu, Acting Director of Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agroinfo) – Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy Director of E-Commerce Department (Ministry of Trade), Tran Thu Huong – Director of Sustainable Development Center – Director of Vietnam Development Gate (VnDG), Nguyen Nhu Thang – General Director of Technoaid have been invited to this dialogue.
