Liên hợp quốc vừa công bố bản Báo cáo Đầu tư Thế giới 2006, trong đó Việt Nam vẫn nằm trong trong top 10 châu Á về thu hút vốn FDI. Tuy nhiên, một số chỉ tiêu cho thấy thứ hạng của Việt Nam trên thế giới đang giảm dần.

Theo tin từ các đơn vị cung ứng gạo xuất khẩu, hiện giá lúa hè thu vừa thu hoạch tăng cao nhất so mọi năm đứng ở mức 2.500-2.600 đ/kg nhưng nông dân sấy xong vẫn neo hàng chờ giá. Nguyên nhân vì giá gạo xuất khẩu từ tháng 6 đến nay vẫn có chiều hướng tăng nhẹ

Trong hai ngày 2-3/7, Chính phủ đã họp phiên thường kỳ tháng 6/2007, dưới sự chủ trì của Thủ tướng Nguyễn Tấn Dũng và các Phó Thủ tướng Nguyễn Sinh Hùng, Phạm Gia Khiêm. Các thành viên Chính phủ đều nhất trí: Cần phấn đấu để 6 tháng cuối năm đạt tốc độ tăng GDP 9%, để đạt mục tiêu Chính phủ đề ra, tăng GDP 8,5% trong năm 2007.
