AGROINFO officially issued “Vietnam’s coffee sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009”

The Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (AGROINFO), Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) has issued the “Vietnam’s coffee sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009” on the series of analytical reports on commodities. In Vietnam, this has been the first report offering updated and comprehensive analyses of factors affecting coffee market in 2008 and outlook for 2009.
The Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (AGROINFO), Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) has issued the “Vietnam’s coffee sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009” on the series of analytical reports on commodities. In Vietnam, this has been the first report offering updated and comprehensive analyses of factors affecting coffee market in 2008 and outlook for 2009.

The report is composed of 4 main parts: i) Domestic coffee production in 2008; ii) Vietnam’s coffee consumption; iii) Vietnamese coffee export in 2008; iv) Vietnamese coffee exporters in 2008; v) The world coffee market in 2008; vi) Outlook for coffee market in 2009.

“Vietnam’s coffee sector in 2008 and outlook for 2009” serves as a useful reference for policy markers, researchers, donors, individuals and organizations both locally and internationally, especially for the businesses producing and trading coffee in Vietnam. All of the information and data in this report have been obtained from these reputable Vietnamese and foreign sources as follows: Ministry of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Investment and Planning, General Statistics Office, General Department of Vietnam Customs, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), Economic Research Service (ERS) – a market research agents under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA):, Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) and others.
