Food and meat market next month will raise price, especially in HCMC when some suppliers are planning to adjust price after rising 1,000 VND/liter in early September. In late months, when petrol price is stable, meat market will still rise in price because purchase power is well again while supplies are down.

- Pork volume at two wholesale markets of HCMC rises 20 tons/day
- Live hog price in HCMC rises 4.6%
- Hams prices in markets reduce 500 – 1,500 VND/kg
- Silverside price in Hanoi continues to be up 2,500 VND/kg
- Tam Hoang chicken price in HCMC increases high
- Feeder pig on TCN farm reduces 1,000 VND/kg
- Poultry and by-product imports in August 2009 reduced sharply compared to last month and the same period of 2008.
