Seafood companies are actually upbeat about a new regulation taking effect today that toughen hygiene and safety standards for products destined for Japan.

Chỉ số giá tháng 4/07 của Cộng đồng hạt tiêu thế giới (IPC) cho thấy giá hạt tiêu đen và tiêu trắng tiếp tục trăng vững trong thời gian qua. Mức tăng của hạt tiêu đen là gần 50 điểm đạt 219,87 trong khi hạt tiêu trắng là 188,32 điểm, tăng hơn 23 điểm. Dự báo sản lượng của Việt Nam sẽ giảm 10% và lượng hạt tiêu của Indonesia năm nay cũng thấp hơn mọi khi cùng với sự suy giảm sản lượng tiêu ở hầu hết các nước trong năm ngoái, kể cả Ấn Độ là những nhân tố chính đẩy giá lên cao.
