Pepper prices fall as export orders wane: Pepper prices ex farm gates has fallen to 58,000 to 62,000 dong a kilogram
Pepper prices ex farm gates has fallen to 58,000 to 62,000 dong a kilogram, a decrease of 6,000 to 8,000 dong a kilogram against the start of this month in the main growing areas in the southeast of Vietnam because foreign buyers had reined in buy orders from Vietnam, pepper growers said. The Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA) reported export pepper prices at present are US$3,400 to US$3,500 a tonne, a drop of US$300 to US$400 a tonne over the beginning of this month.
