Binh Duong earns US$600 million from wooden exports

Wooden products have emerged as the biggest hard currency earner in Binh Duong province with export revenues almost hitting US$600 million so far this year or 35.5 percent up year on year.
The revenue is expected to surpass the US$1 billion mark this year in the southern industrial park - booming province, which boasts almost 260 businesses operational in the wood industry, including over 100 foreign invested enterprises.
Most of the products have been shipped to the European Union, the United States and Japan.
