The agreement was reached at the sixth meeting of the Viet Nam-Belarus Inter-Governmental Committee on Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technology Cooperation, which took place in Belarus' capital city of Minsk from September 26-27.Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Le Danh Vinh, who is Chairman of the Vietnamese side in the Committee, led the Vietnamese delegation to the meeting.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Vu Xuan Ninh and Belarusian Education Minister Aleksandr Radkov have signed an agreement on mutual recognition of academic degrees.
Businesses of the two countries have agreed to establish a direct and stable partnership under which Belarus will provide Viet Nam with kali, equipment, machinery and truck spare parts and transfer diesel motor manufacturing technology to Viet Nam.
They also decided to boost direct export of Vietnamese products, such as farm produce, aquatic products and garments to Belarus.
While in Belarus, Deputy Minister Vinh was received by Deputy Prime Minister A.V Kobyakov, met with leaders from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and held talks with V.A. Gaysenok, Deputy Foreign Minister-cum-President of the Belarusian side in the Committee.
