The annual event, organised on a rotating basis between the two provinces: Lao Cai of Vietnam and Yunnan of China, was aimed at promoting trade and investment exchanges between the two provinces in particular and the two countries in general.

Hundreds of enterprises from both countries participated in the week long fair, showcasing their products including household appliances, fertiliser, chemicals, agricultural products, food, fruits and other consumer goods.

During the fair, many trade and investment promotion activities were organised including a Vietnam-China business forum.

The fair was held by Lao Cai Centre for Trade, Tourism and Investment Promotion.
