Fast development in 2008 led to overproduction for catfish. The prices reduced to very low level while feed price increased, which made raisers suffer heavy losses. The difficulties in selling out was unsolved, the fishery sector faced difficulties as these was a scarcity of raw materials for processing and export. By the end of quarter 1/2009, GDP growth of the fishery sector only reached 1.7% - the lowest level in the most current 5 years, especially as the aquaculture had no growth over the same period in 2008. Perhaps, the fishery of Vietnam has never faced as many difficulties as it does now: difficulties in production materials, outlet market and trademark protection. In such a context, what will the fishery enterprises of Vietnam do to remain and continue to develop?
