India’s fourth largest software company, Satyam Computer Services Ltd., will open a development centre in Viet Nam by April 2009.
The company plans to employ 2,000 people at the centre over the next three to four years, Virender Aggarwal, a Satyam Senior Vice President, was quoted by Bloomberg as saying. Tapping into Viet Nam's low cost labour market, the Satyam executive estimates that the centre will save the company close to 20 percent of total wage costs.
The complex is expected to be similar to a campus-style environment recently opened in Nanjing, China by the company and will look to handle Satyam’s testing and embedded software services.-
